A job can end in a single meeting, but the identity you built around it doesn’t disappear that fast. We’re talking about the kind of loss that doesn’t just change your schedule, it shakes your sense of self and makes you ask the question you don’t always want to say out loud: “God, if You’ve got something better, why does this hurt so much?”

We’re joined by Monica Wilson, a mother and woman of faith whose life took a major, unexpected turn after 18 years in the banking and finance industry. Monica shares what her role meant to her, how easy it was to lead with a title instead of identity in Christ, and what happened when a traffic stop turned into a termination. We walk through the emotional reality of sudden career transition, from shock and fear to the slow work of rebuilding, and we also get practical about what helps: prayer, wise counsel, advocating for yourself, budgeting, and creating healthy structure when the future feels uncertain.

As the conversation unfolds, Monica points to the deep lessons God taught her in the in-between season, including the peace that comes from knowing God will provide and the anchor of Romans 8:28. We also talk motherhood, being present for your kids, caring for aging parents, and how new purpose can be born through volunteering, mentoring, and stepping out of your comfort zone. Monica’s online ministry, Heavenly Love Vibes, is a powerful example of how a closed door can become a calling you never planned.

If you’ve been grieving a loss or trying to trust God while life feels unsteady, listen all the way through and share it with someone who needs hope. Subscribe, leave a review, and tell us what part of the in-between season you’re walking through right now.

Cold Open: When Loss Hits Hard

SPEAKER_03

Have you ever had a season where your entire life changed and nobody around you fully understood what it did to you emotionally? Where people they saw a job loss, but you felt identity loss. People they saw transition, but you you felt grief. People told you God's got something better, but secretly, you were wondering, then why does this hurt so much? But the truth is, sometimes God allows the very thing that you depended on to fall apart so that He can show you who you are without it. And today's conversation is for the person sitting in the middle of that kind of season, the person rebuilding, the person grieving, the person trying to trust God by silently fighting fear, the person who life feels like right now is just falling apart. And they're trying to understand what is God doing in the middle of this loss.

Naming The In Between Season

SPEAKER_03

Welcome back to between the prayer and the promise. This is a space where we talk honestly about the in-between season, the waiting season, the stretching season, the season where God is doing internal work before the external breakthrough shows up. And today's episode is deeply for the person who's navigating those unexpected transitions. Because sometimes the in-between season, it doesn't begin with a prayer, it begins with a loss, that closed door, that disruption, a painful redirection, a season that forces you to rebuild emotionally, spiritually, and mentally.

SPEAKER_02

Between the prayer and the promise, there is a place on a place where does not mean a lot of we hold firmly to trusting that he who promised is faithful.

Monica’s Career Identity And Calling

SPEAKER_03

Today I am joined by Monica Wilson, a woman of faith, a mother, and someone who life looks like, who took, I'm sorry, a major unexpected turn after spending 18 years in the banking and financing industry. What should have broken her? It came the beginning of deeper faith, deeper healing, and deeper purpose. Today, we are going to talk about identity. We're going to talk about loss, surrender, motherhood, rebuilding, purpose, and what it really looks like to trust God in the middle of uncertainty. You all, I'm so excited to have this conversation today. Help me welcome Monica. Hi, thank you so much. Thank you and welcome, welcome, welcome. I think the conversation that we're gonna have today is really, really gonna help some people because a lot of us put our identity in what we do, right? Not in whose we are, but in what we do.

SPEAKER_01

Can you relate to that? I can. I can, and I've I've been there done that. So true.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, so we, you know, we like to dive right in here. We like to get right to it. And so I shared a little bit from the beginning so people kind of know what we're talking about. We're talking about loss today, right? We're talking about having a strong foundation. You know, we get so comfortable in what we do, right? We're we're on this this normal pattern and what we do. And I think that's you, you were you were there 18 years strong, right? And so we heard a little bit about that, but I want people to kind of understand who Monica was before, you know, we we heard, you know, something happened 18 years and it was gone. But who were you? Who did what did this um career represent to you? Tell us a little bit about Monica and and not about the loss yet, but who you were before this and what did this mean to you? Did what did having this job mean for you? Stability, success, identity. Let us know. Give us a peek into that window of Monica with you.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, yes, sure. So I was in the financial industry for 18 years, started as a teller and worked my way up to a financial center manager. I was a leader of a team of eight employees. And, you know, I worked so hard to get to that position, coming in early in the morning, staying late at night, you know, all kinds of overtime, of course, not getting paid for it, but it's it was really my passion. You know, I felt like it was what I was supposed to be doing, and it probably was because I helped a lot of people while I was there. Also having two children that I had during the time I was there. So raising children, being a wife, also involved in the church, went to school while I was there, got my degree in ministry. So, but but yes, a big part of my identity was being that financial center manager, you know. Yeah, and I put a lot into it. I really did.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah. So what did you think your future was going to be? Like when you think about it, then like 18 years. So did you see yourself like retiring? Like, what would you envision your future would have been?

SPEAKER_01

Right. Well, I would have never left that role, you know. Imagine just being there, retiring, maybe moving up even further within the company. I would have never just left that role on my own.

SPEAKER_03

So did you did you feel fulfilled already, or did you have a sense that God was tugging you for something deeper?

SPEAKER_01

I did. I was fulfilled in what I was doing, you know, making good money, but I knew that deep down, I knew that I wanted to work in the ministry full time. I just didn't know how that would happen. Also, with that, I wasn't completely fulfilled because I felt like I was missing moments with my children, with my family, you know, because I'm I'm always at work coming in early, staying late, you know, doing things like that. And I'm missing things with my kids. So yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_03

So looking looking back now, do you think your identity became connected to your career? If so, why is that? And and why do you think we do that?

SPEAKER_01

Hmm, you know, because I know my identity and God, you know, that's that's been instilled in me, but also I didn't lead with, you know, hi, I'm Monica Wilson, you know, a child of God. You know, I led with, I'm a financial center manager, you know, this. Let me see how I can help you in this way financially, or, you know, that type of thing. And I think that it's, you know, sometimes we put so much into things, like our careers and things like that, that it does just naturally kind of become our identity because we put so much into it, you know, we spend so much time there, we dedicate so much to it that it can become part of our identity. And and that was the case for me. It really was. So, yeah, when I met people, that's that's how I introduced myself, you know, had my business card, networking, you know, things like that. That's what it was about.

SPEAKER_03

So before the shift happened, were you constantly on a path of still seeking God and direction with what he wanted for your life? Or were you already, did you already have your mind made up? Or was that not even a conversation on on on the play for what am I supposed to be doing?

SPEAKER_01

Well, really, you know, I knew that deep down, well, I'll just say what I did, I still was working in ministry. When clients would come into my office, I would build deep relationships with them. So we really became families. So I was actually ministering in my office after we finished the business. You know, we would talk about their family, their situations, things that were going on. I would counsel people, talk to them. They would share things. Like I built deep relationships with the people that would sit in my office. Yeah, so I felt like I was in that moment. I felt like I was doing what God wanted me to do in that moment. I just didn't know how the future would unfold, but but yeah, I felt like I was living my purpose in that moment.

SPEAKER_03

Okay, so now we're gonna just um shift a little bit about about the shift, right? Yes. So

The Traffic Stop That Changed Everything

SPEAKER_03

if you can take us back to the moment that everything actually shifts, what happened? Can you can you tell us what happened? And then also what happened emotionally for you when you realize that your life was changing. So kind of share with the audience about that.

SPEAKER_01

I will. And this is really the first time that I've shared this story because of the components. So I'm gonna take it back a little bit before I did lose my job, but I was driving with my children and I was pulled over by a police officer. He said I was speeding. I don't believe I was speeding. We were actually having a conversation, me and my children, about God. And we were praying for some children at their school when I was pulled over. And so I do own, I live in North Carolina, so it is an open carry state as far as far as firearms. But when my children are in the car, I lock it by key, my handgun, in the glove box. So I was pulled over by an officer, and I had to go in the glove box to get my registration. So unlocked it with the key. Actually, when I was pulled over, I had my son looking in my purse for the key because it was deep in my purse. It's one of those push-start cars. So I didn't have the key readily available. And so, to make a long story short, he ended up giving me a ticket for carrying a concealed weapon, which is a misdemeanor in my state. So I had never been in any trouble with the law. You know, it it was a big thing for me. So I did. I went to HR and I asked, is this gonna affect my licensing? Is it gonna affect anything with my job? So a few days later, they brought me into HR and they terminated me because they asked me the question, had I ever had that firearm locked in my glove box while I was on the property? And I said, Well, yes, you know, I was honest about it. And they said, Well, if that's the case, we're gonna terminate you. So, with me being a financial center manager, I knew the rules, regulations. I did not know that that was something that was against the rules. So in that meeting, they were crying, but I wasn't crying, you know, during the termination. I was somewhat shocked that that happened, but I remember walking out of that meeting with them where I had to turn over my keys, my badge, all of this. And it was just like, well, Lord, I know you have a purpose and plan for my life. So I'm just I'm just gonna trust in you. I mean, in that moment, that's that's all I could do. Of course, after that, I did go through the stages of grief, you know, the the disbelief, the anger, the fear, you know, what's gonna happen next? You know, I I've lost my salary, you know, who am I now? You know, but but through that, even walking out of there, there I felt like a a weight was lifted off of my shoulders. I found a new freedom, you know, because I had put so much into this. And for me to be discarded with having no kind of nothing negative in my record, 18 years dedicated employee, you know, and just to be, I felt just discarded, like it was nothing. All the relationships I had built with my team, with the with the clients that I served on a daily basis. So so it was a lot, it was very heavy to go through.

SPEAKER_03

Wow, thank God God has grace. Yes, that's so true. They will not have grace, right? It's so true. You talked about the actual in the moment you kind of sucked it up and handled it, but then later some of the stages that you went through. So if you will share with everyone, because that's what this podcast is really about, those in-between stages. Right. How did you actually what was some of the actionable things that you did to handle the grief, to handle the fear, to handle the okay, I have to start over? Okay, what's my identity? How do I deal with this financial shift? How do I deal with, okay, I have children, I have responsibilities. What was some actionable things that you did? Was it therapy? Was it looking for a job? Was it pre, I mean, what was your things that you did that kind of helped you?

SPEAKER_01

Well, what I would say is, well, first of all, it was that, but then also fighting this charge, you know. So fighting this charge, glory be to God, it was totally dismissed and it's been expunged. So it's, you know, nowhere on my record. But but during that, there was a lot of prayer because I really had to just humble myself and seek God. Really, it was God and my family that brought me through the counsel of my parents, the counsel of my pastor, getting into his word and saying, you know, I know you you knew this was going to happen before I even knew it was gonna happen. You know, so I had to really seek him. Those were the actionable things. Prayer, first of all. Thank, you know, thankful to have my parents because they're so wise and so loving, you know, and so encouraging. So they really helped to encourage me and to say it's gonna be all right, we're gonna get through this. But then also getting an attorney, you know, I had to get an attorney. That was something I had to do, actually looking at my finances and saying, okay, so this is where I'm at, you know, what can I do to maintain my lifestyle, to maintain my things like that. So yeah. Another thing that I did was I started volunteering because as my husband's going to work, my children are going to school, you know, here I am. What am I gonna do? You know, what am I gonna do now with myself? So I started volunteering, I started getting involved in the community because it it wasn't that I could just go into another job right away because I didn't know what was gonna happen with this charge. So I couldn't go and put in an application and start working somewhere because I didn't know what was gonna come up on my record, you know. So, and especially being in the finance industry, you know, you can't have those types of things that pop up. So, you know, just not working. So I had to try to keep myself busy.

SPEAKER_03

So, how did God that is there's so much that you said that's so fruitful in in here. First of all, you had to fight and not just on your knees. Okay one of the things you did, you did fight on your knees, you fought through prayer, and then also you had support a support system, praise the Lord, but also you had to advocate for yourself, and so there's nothing wrong uh as followers of Christ to advocate and speak up for yourself, right? Yes, um, and so I think that's very important that that that you mentioned that, right? And so that that is one good thing, but as you were advocating for yourself, as as you have people also advocating for you, supporting you in different ways, how did God show up to be your provider during this time?

SPEAKER_01

My provide, well, I would say that he gave me a piece, you know, a piece that I knew, because it's a difference in believing everything's gonna be okay and knowing everything's gonna be okay.

Grief, Legal Fight, Practical Steps

SPEAKER_01

So I just knew that everything was gonna work out because I knew that I was his child, I love him, I have faith, and and I believe his word, you know, the words that he gives us. And I just knew that everything was gonna be okay. So I feel like that peace is really what carried me through that season that carried me through knowing that everything was gonna be okay. Financially, with me being in the financial industry for so long, you know, I budgeted, I saved, you know, the advice that I was giving to my clients, I took that advice as well. So thankfully, I did that because I was able to continue to live my lifestyle without you know stressing over the funds. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Well to God be the glory, y'all. Yes, hey, you never know. Hey, store up, listen to the woman of God and store for a rainy day. Yes, yes, and so I know that there were quiet moments through this season. And so as you were going through this season and as you were pushing through through faith and praying, and I'm sure fasting and reading the words, were there ever moments though that you question or that you you doubted God or or you questioned God?

SPEAKER_01

Hmm. I wouldn't say that I ever doubted him, but I did ask him why. And I think that's okay to do, you know, because he he gave me the answer. I feel like he equipped me with all of the skills that I had learned from all of the all of that time, the skills with people, the the skills with really being able to speak to people, to to care about people, to care about their needs, to care about what they're going through, you know, those daily interactions with people, that's something that's so valuable in the ministry because of sharing the gospel of Jesus with someone, you know, I I can't have that fear of, ooh, I don't know if I could talk to somebody, you know. So I feel like he kind of equipped me to through all of that to be able to do that. And, you know, and I still don't know what the future holds. I feel like my he equipped me with the computer skills, with with the things, learning all these programs, financial programs, things like that. You know, he equipped me in those ways. And I feel like he was training me for whatever his purpose was for me that I couldn't see at the time. You know.

SPEAKER_03

So you feel like the reason why was to equip you for your now or

SPEAKER_01

That is what you well for my now and for the future. So I I still don't know what you know what is to come. I just, but I know that going through this situation forced me to strengthen my relationship with God because before I was leaning on my job, you know, I was leaning on that stability. And now that that that's gone, and even though I save, you know, it's been a little time now. So, you know, funds start dwindling down if you don't have income coming in. But now it's like trusting and leaning on him.

SPEAKER_03

Yes, yes, yes.

SPEAKER_01

And uh, and I've got to do that because I know that he will provide all of my needs, and because he has, he has shown that to me.

SPEAKER_03

So, what has this season revealed to you about yourself and even about God that you otherwise think you might not have known had you not gone through this?

SPEAKER_01

I feel like before I went through this, I love God, I I loved his word, I love I love him, but this caused me to really be real and raw. You know, we go through things and you know, we ask God for things, he blesses us, he answers our prayers, you know, in his time, but he does answer our prayers. But with this, it's like I I just really had to get I just it humbled me. The whole situation humbled me. You know, here I am, his his lowly servant. Use me, Lord, for your purpose, lead me and guide me along the way. What is it that you would have me to do? You know, that that was my prayer to him. You know, yeah, that's what I would say. It just it just really humbled me and and caused me to get on my knees before him and and to really put all my faith and trust in him without putting faith and trust into a job, to put faith and trust into a position, faith and trust into my identity as this financial center leader, you know, is God first. He took his rightful place in my life through this season that I had to go through.

SPEAKER_03

Wonderful. So I know you share with me Romans 8 and 28 really speaks to you. So knowing that, and after going through this season, how does does that scripture any scripture now, you know, after you go through something, sometimes a revelation comes to you differently. Does that scripture now speak differently through to you after after this season that you've been through or going through?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes. Well, I would say that even before that, in my on my computer monitor in my office at with my old position, I had that scripture written out and it says, and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. So even then I use that scripture as a model for my life, you know, that no matter what happens, I know everything will be okay. And even as I walked out of HR that day, that's the scripture that gave me comfort. You know, that's the scripture that although this big thing had happened, this big life-changing event had happened, I knew that everything was working toward my good because I love him, you know? Yeah. So yeah, I knew that it was working. And even now, when I look at everything that I have done in the situations that he's put me in after uh losing my job, I can see his hand was in it and all through it. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

And and how so? Like what what what are some ways like you know without a doubt, like, man, God, that's you, that's you, that's you. What what were some little things that just popped up and it just reminded you that God, thank you, thank you, father.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So a lot of situations with my family. So during that

Peace, Provision, And The Why

SPEAKER_01

time, there were some situations happening with my family. Like my stepdaughter, she was in nursing school, but she was also pregnant and she actually gave birth to her son while she was still in nursing school. So she had to go right back to school. But I was available in there to help raise my grandson. So while she's going off to nursing school, here I am with this little newborn baby, you know, taking care of him, nurturing him. But if I had been at that job, I would not have been able to do that for her and for him. So that was one big thing. Another thing is being there for my elderly parents, you know. So my father will turn 88 this year, my mother will turn 80. And so just being there because they've had some health things going on that that I'm just able to be there for my children. You know, um, my children were going through some things at school that freed me up to be able to spend time in the school, to be there, to volunteer at the school, to see what's happening, to be there when they got out of school, to talk with them, help them with them, their homework. I mean, just things that I just really wasn't able to do before. It just freed me up to do all the things that I wanted to do. I just was not able to do with my family. So family was a big, was a big thing in the beginning, just being able to be there and to step in in situations that that I previously was not able to step in. Another thing is the things that he had me get involved with. So I started volunteering for a nonprofit, and then I ended up being asked to be on the board of the nonprofit. So that, you know, that was a blessing to be able to do that and just to volunteer to give back, to help with the food pantry, to help mothers that are going through premature burden situations, things like that. There's another ministry that I got involved in where I'm helping to mentor women that are going through a pivot in their life. So I'm in my fourth of doing that now. So, you know, I act as a mentor, women that are, you know, looking for jobs, that have been previously homeless, that I mean, they're just different seasons in their life, and going through what I went through is something that I can encourage somebody else with, with what they're going through. You know, I can encourage, encourage them, watch them strengthen their faith in God, get them into reading the Bible, like listening to his word, and and get that faith. It's just beautiful to see the transformation when people realize that God has never left them, that that he's there with them, and and to see that faith, that seed of faith grow within people. So that's been such a blessing as well.

SPEAKER_03

And it's a blessing because God loves us so much, and the things that are important to us is important to him. And the fact that, you know, although yes, losing your job, losing something that's important to you, your job was important, but your family to be able to be there for your family, to be able to spend this time with your parents, right? At a very important time in their life, right? Right. Your parents took care of you, and now you're able to be there at a significant time in their life and to be there with children. All of that is so important. And so God really cares about us in that way. And that kind of leads us into uh the questions about motherhood, about just feeling the pressure to be a mother and to be able to be there for your kids and things like that. I mean, you kind of answered that. Did you feel like this kind of lifted some of that pressure for you to help you to really kind of be there for them and to show up for them? And do you feel like this just opened more doors and created a new pathway and relationship? Did it strengthen it in some ways, or how did that shift when you when when your transition happened?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, it did because our children are going something now, especially you know, the age that they are. So my son is 13, my daughter just turned 12, but they're in that age where they're in a transition, you know, the hormones are, you know, but but there's so much that they go through just at school, you know, the culture at school, everybody's on TikTok and Instagram and you know, these memes and and and these songs, you know, the music that they're hearing and they're bringing into the household, you know, like there's so much peer pressure that they face. But I feel like me being here is they know that mama's here, mama's gonna be in their business. I'm not off work till 6:30, 7 o'clock at night. No, I'm here, you know. So, you know, I think that that helped. It helped to strengthen our relationship, you know, that they can talk to me about anything. I'm here, they know I'm here, and I feel like that gives them a comfort. So when they come home, they can get something to eat. My, you know, mama's here to feed them. You know, we don't have to send them somewhere till we get home late at night. No, I'm here, and and that's such a blessing, especially during this critical time in their life with everything they're facing, because I have to talk to them. I talk to them about the word, talk, you know, we read the Bible together. I actually am their Sunday school teacher. So that works, you know, so that's good. So they get it, you know, at church, they get it at home, but I'm real

Family, Motherhood, And New Capacity

SPEAKER_01

too, although, because you know, I think people have a misconception that, you know, because I am an ordained reverend, but because I'm a reverend, that doesn't mean that I don't I don't see what's happening, that I can't have real conversations, you know, about what's really going on and talking to them. And, you know, I've done a couple TikToks with my daughter, you know, and things like that, you know, but it's all in fun, but it's it's in building our relationship and building our bond. And I'm just thankful and grateful to be able to be here to experience these moments with them and not tired, you know, working so so many hours a day.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah, that there's just so lot of shifts and transition that sounds like it just happened, and it sounds like it was all it's all for the good, like you said, like Romans, like your scripture, Romans 8 and 28, right? It's all just all working out for the good. And so now, as we're I can't, I always am so surprised how fast these interviews go, but I definitely wanted to wrap it up to just to kind of talk a little bit about is there any part of you as you were going into this new season, any part of you that had to kind of die and that you had to let go of as you were moving into what God is calling you into?

SPEAKER_01

Hmm. That's an interesting question. What did I have to let go of? Well, I would say that what I'm doing now. So I have um Heavenly Love Vibes is uh an online ministry that I do. And basically what it is, I create short videos, short videos that have scriptures, that have messages, uh biblical messages that I put on social media just to get the word out there. So to interrupt some of the gossip and news and things that we see on a daily basis of social media, you may come across a heavenly love vibes message, you know, that'll kind of, you know, speak God's words to you. But with that, I had to be more comfortable in myself to even get in front of a camera, you know. So there was like a transition period of, you know, Lord, I've, you know, this is the direction you're pushing me in to start this, but how do I do it? You know, it's like I had to get in front of a camera, I had to break out of my comfort zone, I had to learn new skills and things to be able to go into this ministry that he called me to do. A part of me that died, I wouldn't say that there was anything that necessarily died in me because, you know, even now I'll go to my branch, I'll see my former employees, give them hugs and say hello, you know, and things like that. And I really don't hold any grudge or ill will or anything toward that company because I feel like, you know, I was blessed to be there and God is still blessing me now and will continue, continue to do that.

SPEAKER_03

Wonderful. Do you feel like heavenly love vibes would exist if you were still working there, or you believe that it was birth because you were released?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it was definitely birth because I was released. It's not something that I even had a thought in my mind to do. And, you know, I liked, you know, in the evenings, even when I was working, I would watch, you know, certain YouTubers, ministries, things like that. And it just never occurred to me to do that. And so, so, you know, I was reading the word, I was watching inspirational videos, and then somebody was like, Well, you can start your own YouTube channel on YouTube. There was a video I was watching, and I was like, hmm, I never thought about doing something like that. And so, and I said, Well, I can do this, so I did it, you know, I started it. Yeah, so I said, Well, I could do this, and so I started it, but then it turned into, I feel like my videos, you know, as I've progressed, you know, they've gotten better, but it's turned into something that is such an encouragement to so many people. And it's it's such a blessing to read the comments of how the word of God is is it's alive and active, you know, when you hear that word, what it does for you, how it encourages you, it's a mirror, you know, to our own selves. So it's it's such a blessing to see how many lives have been touched from heavenly love vibes. Because I remember starting off and I was like, wow, if just one person would see this and it would encourage them in some type of way. And now I've got you know, thousands of people that that watch and listen. So it's it's been such a blessing, and and I just thank God for it.

SPEAKER_03

Well, someone might be listening today and they have lost everything. Maybe they lost their job, they lost whatever it is that they attach to that they feel is their identity, and they're like, What am I gonna do now? So they're waiting for their but guy moment. What words of encouragement would you offer to them?

SPEAKER_01

I would say, of course, my scripture, Romans 8 and 28, and we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. And that's the thing. If you love God, talk to him, let him know your worries, your concerns, because he loves you more than you can even imagine. You are his child, he's there with you, he loves you. All it takes is a mustard seed of faith to move a mountain. So, what I would say is seek him. Seek him. He told us to seek first the kingdom of God, and all these things will be added unto you. So that's what I would encourage you to do. Also, look look for things that that you enjoy doing. You know, I had to get out of the house and and volunteer and get involved, but that led me to meeting people, connecting with people, being on on the board of a nonprofit. You know, sometimes you have to push yourself outside of your comfort zone to see see what things you really like, especially in a situation like mine where you know I've been in one industry for 18 years and totally losing my job. But I just want to encourage you to not give up, to keep going, seek God, pray to him, listen, listen for his response. He speaks to us in many different ways. Of course, he speaks to us through his word, the Bible, but then he also speaks to us through others. Somebody may invite you to come to a conference, to come to an outing. So I would just say be open, be open and most of all to seek God.

SPEAKER_03

That's beautiful. Amen and amen. And so, of course, before we go, we have to thank our sponsors. So pause for a moment here.

a unique message, but one unified mission. Impact. This is where voices are activated, purpose is ignited, and people step into who they were created to be. This is more than an event, more than a tour. This is a movement. Be sure to visit our website for more information to attend, sponsor, or become a vendor.

SPEAKER_03

Yes. And so I know that you are a part of the movement too. So if you could briefly just tell us your role and where you're gonna be and why you say yes.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, so I will be a vendor at the Winston-Salem event. I'll be vending, I'll have my coloring books. I have four faith-based coloring books that are available on Amazon. So I'll be vending those. But I said yes, it'll be my first vending event. But when I met Destiny and she explained to me about this wonderful event, Together We Create for Kids, because we're gonna be doing so much with the community. We're gonna have a community give back where we're giving away book bags filled with clothing, hygiene items, books. We're gonna have this wonderful event where we have amazing speakers that'll be talking about purpose. It's it's just such a wonderful and uplifting event. And I was so excited to be told about it and so excited to be a part of it. So I'm really looking forward to it. And hopefully you can come and join us.

SPEAKER_03

SPEAKER_03

Thank you so much for listening to Between the Prayer and the Promise. If this episode encouraged you, we love for you to like, subscribe, and share it with someone who needs to hear it. Your support helps us reach more people who are walking through their own season of waiting. But here's what matters most. Remember to trust God, not just when the answers come, not just when the blessings show up, but right here in the waiting, right here in the silence, right here in the in-between. He is faithful. He sees you and he's working even when you can't see it yet. Until next time, keep believing, keep trusting, and keep holding on. I'm Lenice Leeds, and I promise you, God is faithful.
